A fall day in Stavanger
Open air concert at Arneageren

We were a little excited about the weather this Saturday. The week that had been contained a lot of rain, and the weather forecast was not very promising.
We met up to the agreed time at the Salvation Army’s premises in Stavanger. There were some gray clouds over the city, but it was at least no rain falling. The musicians took instruments and musicsheets and walked the 500 meters to the Arneageren square in Stavanger. And then when we was to start, it began to rain. Fortunately, it did not last long. After ten minutes, the sun was shining again and we could start the open air concert.
We opened with “Ein ‘fest burg” arranged by Andrew Mackereth. After a sweeping great fanfare we continued with more ‘easy’ music. A swing arrangement “Joshua fought the Battle of Jerico” followed by Barrie Gott’s big band song “Light-Walk”.
The concert lasted around an hour and it was nice to see people stopping and listened to the music we played.
